Violent Squall (2nd Dec 2007)
On the 2nd Dec 07 a major low pressure system was situated to the NE, at around 14:30 a squall came through giving horizontal rain and brief but very strong gusts of 55-60 mph, captured from start to finish this currently stands as the highest gust ever recorded at the station. thumbnail
Storm Approaching Worcester (16th July 2007)
On the 16th of July 07 a Storm developed to the East of Hereford and tracked NNE towards Worcester, as it did so it became a thunderstorm for a brief time then started to fade once it came over the top. Although not a major storm it did produce some very nice light effects from the setting sun. In the photos you can see the Gust front of the storm, with the sunlit Rain shaft behind it. thumbnail
Storm Development (video) to the West of Worcester ( 19th June 2007) thumbnail
On the 19th of June major storm development started to the West of this area and persisted from about midday onwards. Although it always seemed to want to stay to our west at around 8pm it finally spread just over the top bringing a few minutes of lightning and rain, then moved back west, this is the video documenting it. 13.4mb WMV.
Storm Development (Pictures) to the West of Worcester ( 19th June 2007) thumbnail
On the 19th of June major storm development started to the West of this area and persisted from about midday onwards. Although it always seemed to want to stay to our west at around 8pm it finally spread just over the top bringing a few minutes of lightning and rain, then moved back west, these are the photos documenting it.
Worcester in Snow ( 8th February 2007) thumbnail
On the 8th of February about 4.6" of snow fell from 3am until 2pm, Worcester was the hardest hit in the country gaining the highest total. These photos were taken around the river Severn just as the snow stopped falling.
Worcester in Floods ( 14th January 2007) thumbnail
These photos were taken on the 14th of January this year as the River Severn rose to amazing heights down its length, one of those places was here in Worcester were it rose about 5 metres above its usual height.
Mammatus skies over Worcester (30/12/06)

These images were taken after the stormy weather that preceded it on the 30th of December 2006. These mammatus clouds were on the back end of what some thought to be a supercell heading towards london.
Powerful thunderstorm over Worc's (23/08/06) thumbnail
This video is of the powerful thunderstorm that hit worcester on 23rd of August. In particular note the strike at around 4:50 (21MB - 5 min)
Thunderstorm (06/07/06) thumbnail
This was a storm that started very early in the morning and lasted until around 9am, by which time it had flooded some parts of Worcester and let down some very close strikes (8mb)
